Goodwill 2011 Goodwill Employees of the Quarter 1st Quarter 
Christen Honea Christine Honea, a hearing impaired processor at the Goodwill Orange Grove Store, has been employed for about two and a half years. A native of Mississippi’s Harrison County, Christine initially heard of Goodwill through the internet and was sponsored for Goodwill services through the Mississippi Vocational Rehabilitation. Prior to coming to Goodwill, she had been employed as a dish washer in two different Orange Grove area schools. After completing her VR training at Goodwill, Christine was offered employment at a Goodwill contract but chose rather to go to the Orange Grove store to work. “I truly enjoy working here at Goodwill,” Christine expressed. “I like the people with whom I work and the whole Goodwill work atmosphere.” Her boss, Orange Grove Store manager Wanda Hannon, freely expressed her concurrence with the choice of Christine as Goodwill Worker of the Quarter: “ She is always on time; her willingness to take on any assigned task is truly outstanding; she is an inspiration to her fellow workers and highly respected by all.” Christian is doubly delighted with her present situation in that she has recently taken possession of her new home which she is currently sharing with her grandchild. 2nd Quarter  Eugene Aricer A native of Jackson County Ms, Pascagoula Goodwill Store material handler Eugene Aricer was chosen Employee of the Second Quarter by Goodwill Industries. Referred by Ms. Rehabilitation Service, Eugene came to work at the Goodwill Gautier Store in April of 2010. When the Pascagoula Store opened shortly thereafter, he was transferred to the Pascagoula store. Previous to joining Goodwill, he had worked as a laborer for twenty-two years at Cavco Incorporated here on the coast. “Eugene is always present on the job”, said his store manager Chantal Miller. “ He has never called in sick or requested a day off. He has a positive attitude and takes the initiative if something needs to be done. I can always count on him.” Eugene himself said: “ Goodwill is a very good place to work…and to shop, also.” 3rd Quarter 
Darren Lachney Darren always completes work on time with a smile on his face. His manager often has to remind him to take his fifteen minute break because he gets so caught up in his work that he does exeptionally well. He sysmbolizes everything this organization stands for. Darren is so dedicated to his job that he actually rides by the store on his bike on his day off. 4th Quarter 
Eurice Connaway Eurice is employed in the maintenance/plant department at Goodwill. He has only missed three days of work. His supervisor Kevin Windham says the he does more work in a day then most of his employees do in three days.Eurice is an excellent employee. He is self-motivated and does wht ever needs to be done. Eurice is hard working and very dependable. Eurice's attitude towards work is above and beyond the expectations of his supervisor. Though he has only been working for Goodwill for a short time he has made a great impression on everyone that comes in contact with him. Eurice is not disabled and he has a full time job at night to support his disabled wife and his grandchilid. With all the responsibilities he has he is never late to work. Goodworks 2011 Goodwill Employees of the Quarter 1st Quarter 
Diane Collier Dianne Collier, Keesler Housekeeping Floor Technician, was chosen by Mississippi Goodworks as the outstanding worker for the first quarter of 2011. The baby girl in a family of seven children—3 boys, 4 girls—Dianne first started working part time when she was in 9th grade when she was employed part time for $1.80 an hour in school janitorial work. For many years Dianne worked in housekeeping at hotels, school systems and caninos—much of the time as a supervisor. When she came to work for Goodwill on the night shift, Dianne still maintained her housekeeping supervisory day job at the Beau Rivage. After one year of working the two jobs, she left her Beau Rivage job to concentrate strictly on her Goodworks position at Keesler. In September of 2010 Dianne was transferred to day time work as Floor Technician at Keesler and has done an outstanding job in that position. Many folks at Keesler have complimented her, not only on the quality of her work but also on her attitude. Her supervisor, Teresa Knight, said: “Dianne will do whatever she is asked. She always comes in on time, takes her job very seriously and is a good example for her fellow workers.” Dianne likes everything about her Goodworks job and the people she works with. “One could not find a better place to work,” Dianne said. “I truly like working here.” 2nd Quarter 
Devon Watson Devon Watson, a CB Commissary shelf stocker, was chosen 2011 Employee of the Second Quarter by Mississippi Goodworks ( Goodwill’s sister company that handles federal contracts). A Gulfport native and a graduate of Gulf High, Devon joined Ms Goodworks at the Commissary on August 15, 2008. After working there at night for a bit over a year, on September 9, 2009, Devon undertook two additional challenges to occupy his days: He enrolled in Jefferson Davis Community College both for a Certificate program in Refrigeration/Air Conditioning and a OSHA Safety Certificate program. The latter challenge he completed after a ten hour program; the former he graduated from in May of 2011. Devon intends to continue working with Goodworks at night while finding a day job in the Refrigeration/Air Conditioning field. Devon is very comfortable working for Goodworks. Both of his supervisors, Charles Nance and Roshella Nix, give helpful advice not only in work matters but even in areas outside of work. Devon goes the extra mile in offering his help both to his fellow workers and his supervisors. He is very definitely an important part of the CB Commissary team. 3rd Quarter 
Mark Carroll Mark is a very hard worker and is willing to help in any way. He is always willing to help in other areas outside his normal scheduled duties. Mark has worked at KCUST for a year and has missed only 2 days of work due to illness. Mark gets along well with all other employees and supervisors. He is a very well mannered young man and a pleasure to work with. 4th Quarter
Amber Wong Amber is employeed on the Ability One Contract as a custodian full time at the Federal Courthouse in Gulfport. she is a dependable worker. In 2011 the only time Amber missed work was for doctor appointments because of her disability. Her work is exceptional and she has a great attitude. Amber suffered a broken neck that caused permanent injury to her shoulders, back, and her legs. With all the pain she has Amber works through it all without complaints. Arlene Gilkey her supervisor states that Amber has overcome a lot to stay employed full time and also maintan her position through her mediacl issues.
