Patrick G. Collins Named Goodwill Industries of South Mississippi & Mississippi Goodworks Board Chairman

Mr. Collins graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelors degree in Real Estate with an emphasis in Urban Planning. He also has 33 hors toward his Masters of Business Administration form the University of Southern Mississippi. He began his career in the late 80's working for the State of Mississippi in the Governor's Office of Federal/State Programs and the Department of Economic and Community Development working with the State's CDBG and Rental Rehab programs. Later on he worked for the Harrison County (MS) Plannning Department administering the County's CDBG-Housing Program and also on the County's Comprehensive Plan and the Redistricting Plan. He continued working to help low income citizens afford housing with the Low Income Housing Tax Credit program. He also owned a real estate company on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Later on Mr. Collins was employed by the Gulf Regional Planning Commision as a Planner for Harrison County. Mr Collins also was the Planning Admistrator for the city of Gulfport. In 2003 he left the city to work as a Planner for Neel-Schaffer Inc. an engineering and planning firm. Since 2004 he hs been the Senior Planner for Knesal Engineering Services, a full engineering company. Through out his career he has been involved with many organizations including the Biloxi Exchange Club, Gulfport Kiwanis, and the Boy Scouts. Return to Goodwill of South Mississippi Home Page |
