
Goodwill Industries of South Mississippi is delighted to announce the opening of the Leroy Modenbach Training Center in Gulfport. The Center is a brand new facility with state of the art technology. The Center is already at work preparing Goodwill employees to pass their GED tests. Employees and staff are also taking classes in Conversatinal Spanish, Computer Skills, and Life Skills to refine their job skills st Goodwill and in the future.
Ron Russell, President and CEO of Goodwill Industries of South Mississippi, never lost sight of the Goodwill mission to provide training for the disabled and disadvantaged. The construction was completed in May of 2011 and the Center had the first classes in June of 2011. The location of the Center is 2301 31st St. in Gulfport. The Center also trains community members we at Goodwill believe that a better educated workforce is a better workforce and a better educated community is a better place to live.
The Center is equipped with 13 laptop computers, internet access, wi fi, projector, and full handicap access. Mitch Bauman, the Training Center Coordinator and Instructor is a licensed and experienced GED and public school teacher.
