Job descriptions are as follows:

 

Cashier/Clerk

 

1.        Operates cash register, receives payments for purchases

and records sales and other transactions.

2.        Keeps cash wrap area clean and free of clutter.

3.        Ability to price items without assistance when necessary.

4.        Provide excellent customer service at all times.

5.        Stock sales floor with processed goods ensuring they are in their proper  place and clothing racks to not become over stocked.

6.        Must be able to work flexible hours on short notice including weekends.

7.        Transfers merchandise from the back room to the sales floor.

8.        Ensure a clean work area at the end of shift.

9.        Removes empty hangers from racks on sales floor and returns them to the proper place in the production area.

10.     Assist in security by staying aware of customers’activities and reporting any suspicious activity or theft to the supervisor.

11.     Keeps store clean and hazard free

12.     Follow company policies and safety procedures.

13.     Ability to process donations and price.

14.     Ensure proper rotation of store merchandise.

15.     Regular attendance is required.

16.     Other Duties as assigned.

 

 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

 

·           Ability to lift and carry object up to 25 lb. Frequently

and 50 lb. Occasionally.

·          Ability to use repetitive hand movement when buttoning,

sorting, hanging, and zipping garments.

·          Ability to engage in prolonged standing, walking and

frequent bending, stooping and stretching.

·           Able to interact cordially and productively with a

variety of people.

·           Must be able to market Goodwill and explain the mission

to the general public.

·           Must be able to clearly communicate, write and read in

English.

·           Vision corrected to within normal limits.

·           Knowledge of men’s, women’s and children’s clothing as

well as furniture and household items.

·          Other duties as assigned.

 

Material Handler

 

1.        Ability to move donated items and trash from trucks, to and around plant and to retail store as required.

2.        Ability to take incoming donations and interact with public.

3.        Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.

4.        Assist with overall store production as needed.

5.        Ability to follow simple instructions and remain on task.

6.         Required to first sort donated items.

7.        Insures a clean and organized work station.

8.        Follow safety rules and regulations

9.         Other duties as assigned.

 

Processor

 

1.          Sorts and hangs at least 125 garments, per hour, with a minimum quality standard of 80%.

2.          Checks, sorts and prices electrical equipment and small wares and prepares it for display on sales floor.

3.          Transfers merchandise from the back room to the sales floor.

4.          Insures a clean and empty work station at the end of shift.

5.          Rotates store merchandise as directed.

6.          Places garments, housewares, etc. on proper floor racks and shelves and restocks as necessary.

7.          Removes empty hangers from racks on sales floor and returns them to the proper place in the production area.

8.          Assists in security by staying aware of customers' activities and reporting any suspicious activity or theft to the manager.

9.          Disposes of trash and un-usable merchandise into outside dumpster and breaks down cardboard boxes and places into the recycling container.

10.       Keeps store clean and hazard free by vacuuming, sweeping, mopping and dusting (including bathrooms).

11.       Keeps aisles free from debris in the production and sales floor area.

12.       Greets donors and assist them in bringing donations into the store and issues receipts.

13.       Assists customers with general information.

14.       Follows company policies and safety procedures.

15.       Regular attendance as scheduled is required.

16.       Other duties as assigned.

Custodian (KCUST)

1.             Ability to obtain appropriate supplies and equipment (provided) necessary to perform all duties.

                (up to 50 lbs lifting-heavy work)

2.             Ability to perform general and/or specific maintenance to floors (carpeted, concrete or ceramic/terrazzo/vinyl tile) including, but not restricted to sweeping, vacuuming, wet or dry mopping, and scrubbing.

3.             Ability to perform high/low dusting and damp wiping. (stooping, bending, and climbing)

4.             Pulling trash from buildings. (5lbs and up depending on area)

5.             Ability to perform wall, door, glass, window, light fixture, duct and louver cleaning. (stooping, bending, and climbing)

6.             Perform ash/trash removal and cleaning. (bending)

7.             Perform lavatory cleaning, sanitation and re-supply.

8.             Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

 

Experience Requirements:

Experience in custodial related work preferred but not required.   

Educational Requirements:

Ability to follow instructions.

Ability to work unsupervised for long periods of time.

Physical Requirements:

Includes lifting (0 to 50 lbs), bending (frequently), stooping (frequently), walking (continually), climbing (frequently). 

 

Meat Room Custodian (KCOMM)

 

1.             Ability to obtain appropriate supplies and equipment (provided) necessary to perform all duties.

2.             Ability to perform general and/or specific maintenance to floors (carpeted, concrete or ceramic/terrazzo/vinyl tile) including, but not restricted to sweeping, vacuuming, wet or dry mopping, scrubbing, buffing, stripping and reapplying suitable floor finish.

3.             Ability to perform high/low dusting and damp wiping.

4.             Ability to perform wall, door, glass, window, light fixture, duct and louver cleaning.

5.             Perform ash/trash removal and cleaning.

6.             Perform lavatory cleaning, sanitation and re-supply.

7.             Perform meat market processing area cleaning and sanitation.

8.             Must be able to stand in freezer for a period of 4 hours or more to clean and sanitize meat room.

 

Floor Technician

 

Job Scope:

 

Perform custodial services for Keesler Air Force Base.  Work to be performed generally during late evening and night-time hours in order to meet government specifications.

 

Major Duties:

 

1.             Ability to obtain appropriate supplies and equipment (provided) necessary to perform all duties.

2.             Ability to perform general and/or specific maintenance to floors (carpeted, concrete or ceramic/terrazzo/vinyl tile) including, but not restricted to sweeping, vacuuming, wet or dry mopping, scrubbing, buffing, stripping and reapplying suitable floor finish.

3.             Ability to perform wall, door, glass, window, light fixture, duct and louver cleaning.

4.             Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

5.             Must be physically able to perform duties as assigned with minimum to no physical limitations.

 

Experience Requirements:

 

Experience in custodial floor care related work preferred but not required.  

Must have own transportation and must be able to lift 75lbs.

 

Educational Requirements:

 

Ability to follow instructions.

Ability to work unsupervised for long periods of time.
