Stock items of commissary merchandise for Commissary Services Branch.  Work performed during night-time hours in order to meet government specifications.

1.                   Ability to move merchandise from the designated warehouse holding area to the correct shelf location or special display.

2.         Ability to obtain appropriate supplies and equipment (provided) necessary to perform all duties.

3.         Ability to display merchandise on shelves, baskets or fixtures within required guidelines.

4.         Ability to rotate oldest merchandise to front according to date code or other determining method.

5.         Ability to face front and straighten all merchandise according to guidance, and dust and/or clean merchandise and display shelves, baskets or fixtures

Custodian

 

Brief Job Description

 

Perform custodial services for Commissary Services Branch.  Work to be performed generally during late evening and night-time hours in order to meet government specifications.

 

1.         Ability to obtain appropriate supplies and equipment (provided) necessary to perform all duties.

2.         Ability to perform general and/or specific maintenance to floors (carpeted, concrete or ceramic/terrazzo/vinyl tile) including, but not restricted to sweeping, vacuuming, wet or dry mopping, scrubbing, buffing, stripping and reapplying suitable floor finish.

3.         Ability to perform high/low dusting and damp wiping

Material Handler

 

Brief Job Description

 

Sort and separate incoming merchandise from various distributors that deliver to the Commissary.  Move merchandise from warehouse to resale floor and stage merchandise according to the store planogram and to facilitate shelf stocking for the Commissary during late evening and night time hours in order to meet government specifications.

 

1.       Ability to follow commercially acceptable receiving/storage/holding area procedures and the DeCAD 40-1 to ensure all stock received by the Government is properly stored and/or staged in the designated holding area.

2.       Must be able to separate all incoming merchandise in the receiving area to assist the Government in the in checking process.
