Spreading Sunshine, Smiles, and Books Across the Mississippi Gulf Coast!
Goodwill Reads is a new Goodwill of South Mississippi program that promotes early literacy across the Mississippi Gulf Coast. We collect children’s books, visit classrooms to read with students, and give each child a book with their name on it to take home. With the help of volunteers and community partners, we’re creating fun reading experiences that build confidence and a lifelong love of learning.
Interested in volunteering with Goodwill Reads?
We’d love to have you involved! Here are a few ways you can support Goodwill Reads:
-
Host a book drive at your school, office, or in your community
-
Donate new or gently used children’s books
-
Make a monetary donation to help grow the program
…and more! Contact our Goodwill Reads Program Manager, Jennifer Crawford, for additional details and ways to get involved.
Every contribution helps us put books into the hands of local children and spread a love of reading across the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
