Goodwill of South Mississippi is proud to celebrate National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) this October, honoring the many contributions of workers with disabilities and reaffirming our commitment to creating inclusive, meaningful employment opportunities across the Gulf Coast.
Each year, NDEAM highlights the importance of ensuring all people — regardless of ability — have equal opportunity to contribute their skills and talents in the workplace. At Goodwill of South Mississippi, that mission is at the heart of everything we do.
Through our long-standing partnership with the AbilityOne Program, one of the nation’s largest sources of employment for individuals who have significant disabilities, Goodwill provides job opportunities, skills training, and career support for local individuals seeking independence through work.
Goodwill also offers Career Connection Centers in Ocean Springs and Gautier, where individuals of all abilities can access free employment services, résumé assistance, and job training programs.
As we celebrate National Disability Employment Awareness Month, Goodwill of South Mississippi encourages local businesses and community members to recognize the value of an inclusive workforce — where everyone has the chance to shine.
