Goodwill of South Mississippi Welcomes New Director of Mission Services & Fund Development

Goodwill Industries of South Mississippi is proud to announce that Jeannine Johnston has been named the new Director of Mission Services & Fund Development.

Johnston began her career with Goodwill in 2020 as an E-Commerce Manager at Goodwill Industries of Mississippi based in Jackson, serving the central region of Mississippi. In February 2024, she stepped into the role of Workforce Development Supervisor, directing workforce training programs for re-entry populations, leading Pre-ETS classes and Job Extravaganzas for local school districts, and helping to launch two community career centers to expand access to employment opportunities.

“I’m passionate about creating opportunities that bring together my skills in customer service, technology, leadership, and workforce training,” said Johnston. “My goal is to contribute to this organization where I can collaborate with a strong team, work hard to achieve meaningful results, and help drive growth and impact through innovation and

service.”

Originally from Madison, Mississippi, Johnston holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Mississippi State University. She is also a recent graduate of Goodwill’s Senior Leader Program, which she completed in August 2025.

“We are excited to welcome Jeannine into this role,” said Vicki Burton, President & CEO of Goodwill South Mississippi. “Her passion for our mission and expertise in workforce development make her the ideal leader to oversee our programs and fund development efforts. She will also help us expand our mission of serving the community through career

training and workforce opportunities."
